Loomis Fargo |
Loomis Fargo is an armored truck company. When banks or businesses need cash, they call Loomis to bring it to them. Loomis has the largest free standing vault this side of the Mississippi and receives and stores Federal money arriving from out of state. This project started as a bare structure without power, water or any utilities. Within that 90,000 sf was built:
- 5000 square feet of office space
- Secure 10,000 square feet coin sorting and storage area
- Vault area with cash counting and sorting
- Truck bay where 18 armored trucks at a time are loaded with cash and coin for each days transactions (using forklifts)
- Secure truck parking and maintenance area
- Outside of the loading bay are steel truck traps that each truck must drive into when entering or exiting the building.
All of the doors in this complex structure are controlled from one 'turret room' where security personnel open or close doors remotely while watching one of the 130 cameras that ensure security is maintained. The doors are bullet proof steel 8 inches thick with bullet proof glass in each door and windows from the turret room. Security is state of the art. In other words, this project was complex and far from ordinary to build or manage. The project was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget. A letter of Reference was offered by the Director of Loomis Facilities which is linked below.
